next program

This is a very personal program about our fathers and their experiences during WWII.

The music of Kurt Weill , Norbert Glanzberg and Hermann Leopoldi, all victims of the Nazis, fit perfectly to Lisa’s incredible artwork. Intertwined are the stories of our fathers and the impact they had on us daughters.

We have created a separate website for this program.

Below you can read some of the testimonials  written by people who experienced this program:

One of the most emotionally touching shows I’ve ever seen. The courage of my friend Ute Gfrerer comes through every note she sings and the conflict portrayed is a heart-pulling tug-of-war that deposits you in a place of understanding and peace.       Juliette Guidara

It was so moving! You two women were pure love, forgiveness and energy. What a great program! The evening lingers on.      Anne Koppermann

Your thoughtful and brilliant presentation brought so many of us to the edge of tears. Thank you for the courage to share the most private of feelings and to break the silence that compelled your fathers to keep theirs after the trauma of war.     Anne Bromer

You and Lisa are brave as well as talented artists.  Your joint and very personal testimony speaks to the universal human experience–fear, isolation, shame, anger, grieving, insight, reconciliation. It should be experienced by everyone. You are as brave, as you are good. Your heart is as big, as your voice is rich.Thank you and thank Lisa for tonight–and for the thoughts your collaboration brought to my mind.     Paul Spirn
