DIVEN- Leben im Rampenlicht

In this semi staged concert (with lots of costume changes and a narrator) I want to give an insight into the lives of  Edith Piaf, Judy Garland, Marlene Dietrich und Kurt Weill’s wife, Lotte Lenya.

It’s not only about  the  Star, but the woman behind the star!

All songs are set into context to the life stories of each woman, and thus create intimate portraits of four extraordinary women who, despite of their fame,  had to conquer many obstacles in their private lives.

This concert leaves the  audience with a sense of deeper understanding and also some good tunes in their head!

Songs include “La vie en rose”,  “Milord”, “Somewhere over the Rainbow” , The Trolley Song”, “Lili Marlene”, ‘Falling in Love Again” and “the Song of Pirate -Jenny”.

This program is created for a band of 7 as well as for full orchestra! The musical direction is under James Holmes, London, who also wrote many of the arrangements!
